Before you start using MailNote you have to configure way of saving your information. To access preferences window select MailNote menu bar icon with right mouse button and from the menu choose Preferences item.
To configure a saving method switch to the Save panel. You can select an account configured in Mail application or provide custom settings. Parameters you have to set are the same, like you provide in Mail application when you configure the account. Additionaly you can choose if mail should be send as Mail application note. If you select IMAP configuration you can choose to store your mail in Notes folder (if one exists in your account). There is also an option to store information on hard disc/pen drive/network drive instead of an email account.
MailNote does not use Mail application so Mail application does not have to be running to use MailNote.
You can configure keyboard shortcuts on Shortcuts panel.
Creating a Note
To create a note press MailNote menu bar icon or use the keyboard shortcut (default shift-command-n).
Type or paste from clipboard your note. The subject will be given automatically but you can modify it.
Press Send button or keyboard shortcut (default control-enter) to save note. To cancel close window or use keyboard shortcut (default control-esc).
MailNote requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher and runs on Intel-based and PowerPC-based Mac computers.
